This post is a historical record of the event from when it was first announced.
Sphinx Technologies announced their first Sphinx User Conference. The event was held in Moscow on the 24th of October. It was a completely free full-day event. This was a must-see conference if you were interested in Sphinx search engine and were somewhere near Moscow.
Among the speakers are Andrew Aksyonoff, the founder of Sphinx and Peter Zaitsev, the CEO of Percona and author of the MySQL Performance Blog.
Sphinx User Conference will feature talks about the Sphinx development (current state, new cutting edge features, future roadmap), and real world Sphinx implementations, tips, tricks, and best practices.
